Writing on Medium to ‘succeed on Medium’ will do more to harm your writing tthan not writing at all. I tried that in the beginning, then found The Challenged (I’m now the owner and publisher) and later started Fiction Shorts where we write a 100-word story based on a daily random word. It has changed my life. I now write exclusively for enjoyment. (With the occasional diatribe tossed in.)
