Since she’s not my kiddo, I don’t want to put her face out on the internet. :) Poster Credit: My Bestie / Image Credit: Author

One of my favorite TikTokers is Andrea.Nelson.Art, an artist who teaches how to make simple, fun, worry-free art for adults and kids. Recently she created a video of the things she takes for granted. Things like mail coming to our door, and having coffee, snacks, and a place to create.

And I began to think about those things I take for granted. Next thing I know, Ms. Keeley’s June 1st prompt is to share some glimmers from our day.

One of the best ways to improve our outlook is by finding the little things that spark gratitude and joy. Look around you, let your eyes settle on things you use every day. What would life be like without them?

So, let’s get to it.

My day often starts with a smile and silent chuckle as I wake to the mockingbird singing its convoluted song outside my bedroom window. It’s as if God created a mixed tape of his favorite bird calls and inserted it in the mockingbird. Hilarious!
