When I started this Drabble Challenge I had no indication that it would attract almost 300 writers in three months. As editors, that’s a lot to corral. We don’t just count the words and hit ‘publish’. We offer advice to writers on ways to strengthen their stories and get across their message.

My goal for Fiction Shorts has always been to produce a publication that attracts readers because of its quality. That means the editors spend time on every story.

I’m truly sorry you have chosen to see me as something other than supportive. This was a group decision based on our time constraints. The editors are also writers who are donating their time.
