Well, I did voice to text that story first. But in order to do that, I became the protagonist. I do believe my brain works similar to that, but not quite the same. I put it in the hyper drive, because when you’re in the early throes of grief, or at least, when I was in the early throes of grief, I don’t think my thoughts made any sense at all. I don’t remember that time. The first year after my husband died was a blur so the situation is imaginary. It definitely felt real as I crafted it.
