The suggestion to limit violent comments has been wildly vilified. I truly don't understand where the harm is in thinking about the way we lace our speech with violent images.

I'm not saying I don't use these, but I am most definitely not offended by having them pointed out, and maybe ... hold the phone ... trying to rein it in.
