The Best Choice for Kamala Harris’ Vice President

I’m ashamed to say that Kamala Harris rarely entered my thoughts before her ascendance, and have to admit to not being overly excited in the initial phase of the Democratic 2024 Reboot. But, in a matter of hours, I realized the wisdom of the choice.
Vice President Harris is first and foremost an intelligent woman. It doesn’t hurt that she’s black and has been a respected member of the executive branch. Her stance on women’s rights will speak to many an undecided voter. (Who in the world is undecided? I don’t understand their confusion.)
According to the New York Times, her husband, Doug Emhoff, is a powerful voice against antisemitism and for legal aid, and a role model of marriage equality, having given up his legal career to support his wife. We definitely need more of that!
Yes, she brings along some baggage from the last four years… politics as usual.
The most important thing now is to get out in front with a solid VP pick. Here is mine.
