One doesn’t have to own a pet to have a pet. Many shelters need dog walkers, support staff, and people to simply sit with the animals. There’s also the opportunity to foster animals, including being a hospice foster. It’s an amazing gift to the animals. That is my plan when my girls (8 & 7) are gone. Senior and hospice dogs. 🥰
