How generous were my ancestors in handing down genes? Magnanimous!
- My paternal grandfather and only uncle died of heart attacks in their mid-fifties. Had today’s blood tests been available we would have learned that they had LDL and triglyceride numbers high enough to put Elon Musk’s bank account to shame.
- My father suffered from asthma as a kid. When he contracted, and almost died, from Scarlet Fever, his asthma disappeared and never returned.
- My mom suffered from uncontrollable hypertension, cardiovascular disease, arthritis, undiagnosed fibromyalgia, and no doubt, lichen sclerosis.
