My guess is that people are wondering more about what you might’ve gone through and how you were injured than judging you for being in a wheelchair. Maybe it’s because I’m a health coach, but I am always curious as to what other peoples health struggles are. I also wonder if I would be able to cope with a disability. Seeing someone coping well is an indication of strength to me. And it was look as if you were coping well if you were having a good time. I can honestly say I’ve never wondered if someone in a wheelchair was faking.
One of the reasons I always ask people with tattoos if I can see them and or what does it say, is because I don’t want them to think I’m judging them because they have tattoos and I’m staring. I love learning the stories behind people’s tattoos. If I didn’t think it would be taken badly, I would probably love to hear the stories of how people ended up in a wheelchair.

I hope that you can get yourself to a place where you don’t care or that you think people are just curious. 💛💛💛
