Might I also encourage you to add a good collagen supplement? I like Garden of Life because they're 3rd party certified. Bones are made of calcium and collagen, and if you take away the collagen you're left with brittle calcium only. It's important to have both.
I add the unflavored collagen powder to my morning shake and don't even know it's there. I know they make flavored ones, but I've not tried them.
Also, do you use dairy products? I can't use them, but for someone who can, it's the absolute best way to get calcium.
I was totally annoyed that you had to ask for a DEX! That should have been suggested at minimum after the second break, but considering the circumstances of your first break, and your age, I'm surprised the doctor didn't recommend one then.
