Maybe, if Mike can resurrect one small piece of memory in writing, he will lose his reluctance.

I wonder if my trick of speaking into my text messages, or voice recorder, would work for that.

I recently switched from the recorder to texting myself. That way I have less to transcribe and can read ahead, rewrite, and re-order easier.

Just a thought.

And, of course, there's the beauty of the cloud for storage these days, so less fear.

Having said all that, I completely understand the reluctance. I've never lost that much material, but prior to the introduction of the cloud, and Word's version history, I lost a few well-thought-out pieces and had zero interest in rewriting them.
