It was when I began to get honest with myself, in my writing, that my world expanded exponentially. It started with simple challenge questions that took me into deeper and deeper places. While I might occasionally write a lighthearted piece, and I often have no idea what I’m going to write when I begin, I find myself going deep often. I’ve been told that my honesty is refreshing, so I guess what you’re saying is right: people want honesty. At 73 there’s much to be honest about.
