It has taken me a bit to get there as well. Your description of your own aging so resembles mine, and I have finally come to accept the extra pounds, wrinkles, and, yes, even being less physically capable. I am grateful I can still mow my lawn, hike a mile or two, and shovel the drive, but it does seem a bit harder at 74 than at 50. Lovely article, dress, and compliment!
