I’m not so sure this isn’t well known, at least in my experience. Sure, there are detractors but for the most part his musical genius is understood.
He has always been one of my top favorites. One of my cousins, Steve Kramer, was in a band called The Wallets in the 80s, in Minneapolis, playing the same clubs. They all knew. 😊
