I was under the impression that some of the Unsplash images, on Medium, were paid through their connection to iStock. Not that we have access to all of iStock’s images, but maybe a tier?

Also, I didn’t know we had to use a picture, only that it was encouraged. I know some pubs require them, but not all. Am I wrong?

I guess these articles aren’t showing up in my feed. I did try searching, but that was a waste.

What if, as writers, we came up with a logo or basic image that represented us and used that when not able or willing to search for a photo?
