I love this walk down memory lane! What I loved the most was how you ended your piece with a roundup of so many things that have changed since you were young. Brilliant!

I briefly had a waterbed but it my back didn’t like it at all. Climbing out could be a challenge as well. I also found temperature regulation to be iffy.
