I love that you've brought the conflict to the community. I wrestled with this the last few months and just launched my new pub, Fiction Shorts, November 1st. I have hopes and dreams for it to become a place for people to turn when they want to take a quick mental break with a favorite writer of flash fiction.

It took me a couple of months, a few conversations with other writers here, and some planning and journaling, but I hit that button, and am dedicated to doing the best I can. So far, it's going well. I'd say, the hardest thing for me is not being adept at discerning AI when some writers aren't native English speakers. (Probably even when they are.) But, so far, I think we've got a good mix of experienced and new writers.

Oh, another challenge for me is giving feedback and asking for edits. Again, what I've done so far has been well received.

I've spent my life stepping outside my comfort zone and have always appreciated how much I've learned.

My advice? Do it! :)
