I like how you compare writing to meditation. I came back to journaling late in life, around 56, and have been at it since. I'm now about to turn 74.
As someone with ADHD, sitting in a meditative pose, at such and such a time, is like being stuck in a mental kaleidoscope. Let me out of here!!!
Writing, on the other hand, keeps my brain focused, one word after the next.
