I haven’t experienced this one. It would grind my gears as well.

Often (incorrectly) used to describe a forbidden treat e.g. a gin and tonic, chocolate or gate-crashing funerals, I have no idea why this irritates me to such an extent, but on hearing it, I want to slam the phone down (I must stop doing that with my mobile), or walk away. Instead I hang in there, quietly steaming.
