I have done this for years. As an ADHD human, that cognitive difficulty translates into whatever rabbit hole is closest. In order to defeat that demon, I try to have a list of actions necessary.
I've been reading, writing and teaching about the Pomodoro Technique for a year as it relates to health. The class is called Get Up and Go to the Kitchen, and uses the 25-minute timer to remind us to get up and move for five minutes. (The kitchen part is a way to help seniors prep healthy foods during the day as they incorporate movement.) LOVE this article and am putting the journal into play in my life. I love seeing how new ideas impact my focus!
