I hate that they started paying us at all. I was used to making little more than my membership, and was happy to do so. Along comes hundreds of dollars a month, down to double digits, back to hundreds, back to double digits and now not even a full digit on most articles.

When I made nothing, I was happier. Now, they've learned how to implement the single most demotivating thing: give it erratically. Nothing in motivational research appears to be less motivating than a reward given, then withdrawn. WTG, Medium!
