I found a holistic dentist that doesn't drill at the first teensy sign, unlike my other dentist. He was also able to save one of three teeth from a crown that was recommended by said other dentist.

Since the two crowns, I've just had cleanings for a few years. I can almost handle those, having had similar painful experiences in my youth.
