Subscribe to my email and it’ll come to your inbox around 10 AM CST.

I’m kind of a bitch when it comes to guidelines and formatting, so make sure you check out the Fiction Shorts Style Guide, Submission Guidelines, and Drabble Guidelines. I guarantee there are redundancies, and apologize, but forewarned is forearmed.

Please read the info on the daily word announcement. It changes weekly, so once you’re familiar with the content, just check the New this week … section.

We publish between 35–60 stories every day and dealing with BS formatting, and unchecked grammar isn’t fun.

If we don’t get the gist of your story, we’ll ask for clarity. Because of the way Medium’s queue works, we reject and ask for you to resubmit.

Medium’s count varies from Word, Pages, and Google Docs. Check it on Medium before submitting. Here’s how:

Please make sure the story itself is EXACTLY 100 WORDS. To do this, highlight the story copy only and in the upper left corner, you’ll see Medium’s word count. That’s how we determine the word count. If the word count is wrong, we’ll note it and reject it for you to adjust.
