As a boomer I am embarrassed every day by old people bitching about younger people. WTF!?! I’d like to see these entitled, privileged oldsters try to make it in today’s world. Not only is the economy ridiculous, healthcare, housing, energy, food, you name it … all insane! I’m 73 and am going to use the worn out statement, when I was younger. When I was younger, I could afford to rent an apartment. I could afford to put gas in my car. I could afford to go to the doctor and I could afford to buy food. None of those things were the most luxurious or the most expensive available, but they were in safe neighborhoods. What I couldn’t afford, were luxuries like a television or a stereo system. Those were things I had to save for. In today’s world almost everybody can buy a television, but they can’t afford a place to plug it in.

The saddest thing, to me, is that it doesn’t look like anything will ever change. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be finding a way forward.

Your article was painful to read, but a necessary message to share. Thank you.
