Are You a Cat or a Dog Person?
You might be surprised.
Because it’s spring in the Midwest my time is limited. Yardwork is a pain during the rainy on-and-off godawful mosh of spring days. I check the weather several times a day to figure out the best day for mowing. But, along comes Mother Nature and, well, you know the saying, “Tell God your plans …” I’m a day behind on this one.
As you can tell by my many pieces on doggos, I am firmly in the dog camp … or am I?
I’ve had a few cats in my life. The first two were when my children were young, and only lived with us a short time before they went to live on a friend’s farm. The last, Gypsy Sue, is a story I’ve yet to write. Gypsy Sue adopted us after being a well-fed stray in the neighborhood. Did she turn me into a cat person? Not quite. I loved her. She was standoffish and simply thought of our home as a luxury hotel. Or, so she would have liked you to think.
As much as I loved Gyps, I prefer cats from afar … someone else’s cats getting up to antics, being psycho, shedding their super-fine fur on someone else’s favorite chair, clawing someone else’s sofas, and urinating and defecating in someone else’s litterbox.
