Actually, we've had two recently. The first was about four hours, and it became a neighborhood get together in my front yard. Then we all went for a walk to see the damage around the block.

The other was two nights ago. Again, a neighborhood walk, but then ... darkness. I used my phone to watch Law & Order Criminal Intent (Season 1/Episode 14) since I'm bingeing that series from the beginning. (See you in a few months!)

During the first, metro-wide, outage, my phone didn't work at all. This time, despite only having two bars, I was able to watch.

I've now got LED camp lights and after the big outage, I purchased a Ryobi 18V fan that uses the same batteries as my garden tools. With that on, I was fine even though it was over 90 degrees that day. I already had two batteries, so the fan only cost me $50.
