A Small Town Neighborhood in the Heart of the City
Sometimes the haiku at the end is my favorite part.
Do you know people who still see you the same way they saw you in school? Smart, impulsive, stubborn, a crybaby, a bully, a loudmouth, studious, ambitious, dishonest, energetic, athletic, a liar, risque, a brainless jock … the list goes on. If you were one of the cool kids, you’re good, they still think you’re the bomb. I you had some growing up to do, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
In my small town, the pharmacist knew your parents, your husband’s parents, and your next-door neighbors. Where do you think I got my birth control pills after my divorce? Not there.
